Inspired by the Mexica/Aztec direction of the West. This black-and-white knit design honors Cihuatlampa.
The front of the cardigan features flowing Quetzalcoatl's, accompanying Quetzal birds and shells above and below. The sleeves carry a flowing, S-shaped Quetzalcoatl from the Telleriano Codex.
On the back, Ehecatl, the wind aspect of Quetzalcoatl, is depicted at center. Four shells anchor each corner, with another Quetzalcoatl spanning across the shoulders.
Rooted in Mexica ancestral knowledge, this cardigan represents:
- Direction: West (Cihuatlampa) – Direction of the Women
- Color: White
- Season: Fall/Autumn
- Symbolism: Female Principles, Where the sun sets, Cihuateteo (women who passed during childbirth), Quetzalcoatl, Ehecatl (Wind)
