Inspired by the Mexica/Aztec direction of the South. This black-and-blue knit design honors Huitzlampa.
The front of the cardigan features two different depictions of Tlaloc, bringing rain that cultivates the growth of plants and flowers below. The sleeves display two war shields, paired with ornate decorative forearm designs.
On the back, Huitzilopochtli — the Hummingbird of the South and patron god of the Mexica — is shown in full regalia, carrying a war shield and the Xiuhcoatl (Fire Snake). At the lower corners, two additional shields emphasize his warrior presence.
Rooted in Mexica ancestral knowledge, this cardigan represents:
- Direction: South (Huitzlampa) – Direction of the Children/Youth
- Color: Blue
- Season: Summer
- Symbolism: Renewal, Cleansing, Perseverance, Warriorness
